Inaugural Henry Ford + MSU Neuroscience Research Symposium

The inaugural Henry Ford + MSU Neuroscience Research Symposium will bring together researchers, clinicians, trainees, and health care professionals from Michigan State University and Henry Ford Health who are passionate about advancing neuroscience research.

Whether participants aim to share their work, cultivate new collaborations, or explore the latest developments in the field, this event will provide a vibrant environment for learning and exchange. The symposium will feature a broad range of neuroscience topics, including neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, addiction, neurovascular science, neurodevelopmental disorders, and more.

This event is free, but registration was required to participate.

The deadline to register for the symposium was Monday, August 25, 2025

WHAT TO EXPECT

During the Henry Ford + MSU Neuroscience Research Symposium, attendees can look forward to:

  • Special Remarks: The Henry Ford + MSU partnership is pleased to have MSU President Kevin Guskiewicz, Ph.D. and Henry Ford Hospital CEO and Henry Ford Medical Group CEO Steven Kalkanis, M.D., speak at the inaugural Henry Ford + MSU Neuroscience Research Symposium. Guskiewicz and Kalkanis will offer valuable insights on the future of neuroscience research and collaboration between Henry Ford and MSU. 

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

Henry Ford Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Henry Ford Health designates the Henry Ford + MSU Neuroscience Research Symposium a maximum of 5.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM.

To receive this credit, symposium participants MUST complete BOTH the main symposium registration and the Henry Ford Health credit registration.

POSTER GUIDELINES AND SUBMISSION - CLOSED

All were welcome to submit a poster, whether presenting an overview of ongoing research, clinical initiatives, educational programs, or specific projects. Submissions were encouraged from researchers, clinicians, trainees, health care professionals, and others engaged in neuroscience research at Michigan State University and Henry Ford Health. 

  • Submission Deadline: Monday, August 25, 2025
  • Selection Process: Posters will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Important: To be considered, poster presenters MUST be registered to attend the Henry Ford + MSU Neuroscience Research Symposium.
  • Notification: A confirmation email will be sent out shortly after the submission deadline for posters that are selected.

The garage is near the MSU Olin Health Center and is a three-minute walk to the MSU Union.

The garage entrance is located on the south side of Albert Avenue, between MAC and Charles Streets next to CVS Pharmacy, and is a four-minute walk from the MSU Union.
 
Albert Avenue Paid Parking Garage

The garage entrance is on the south side of Albert Avenue, between Abbot and Grove Streets, and is a five-minute walk from the MSU Union.
